Sounds like you did a simple upgrade over Leopard, which is probably why you’re having these little glitches. Most of the people who complain of these irregularities also chose the upgrade option, thanks to Apple hiding the traditional clean install option in Snow Leopard. If you can’t figure out the problems, a clean install would almost certainly fix them. The only real problem I’ve had with the new OS is that Safari now uses a non-integrated flash player that overuses the CPU, so when watching some of the higher definition HD Youtube videos, my MBP 13’s fan goes mad trying to cool down the processor, which can get as high as 94C. Since you have the same computer, try watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p6uJ4L55Nk in HD and see how long it takes your fan to go berserk. Sorry for the long comment.
